Download Licence

Last updated 9 August 2026.

The short version

When you buy a song from this site you are buying a copy of the recording for your own personal use, plus a licence to keep and play it. You are not buying the song itself. WHOSRILA LLC keeps ownership of the recording and the composition, exactly as it would if you had bought the track from iTunes.

Nothing here stops you enjoying the music however you like in private. It only covers the things that need a different, paid licence — putting the song in a video, a film, a game, or a release of your own.

You can

  • Play it as much as you want, forever
  • Copy it to any device you own — phone, laptop, car, DAP
  • Keep a backup
  • Burn a CD for yourself
  • Play it at home, in your car, or at a private gathering

You cannot

  • Re-sell, share, or give the file away
  • Upload it anywhere — streaming, file hosts, socials
  • Put it in a video, film, advert, game or podcast
  • Play it in a shop, bar, gym or other business
  • Sample, remix or edit it for release
  • Register it with any content ID or distribution system

Why the second column exists

Those uses are real licences with real value, and they are the ones an independent artist actually earns from. Putting a song behind a video needs a sync licence. Releasing something built on top of it needs a sample or remix clearance. Playing music in a business is normally covered by that venue’s own performing-rights licence, not by this one.

None of that is a no. It is a different conversation, and it is usually a short one — see below.

If you want one of those

Email press@whosrila.com with what you are making, where it will be seen, and roughly how long you need the music for. Independent projects, student films and small creators are welcome to ask — rates are set to match the project.

Files and formats

Downloads are supplied as high-quality MP3. If a file will not download, will not play, or arrives damaged, email press@whosrila.com and it will be replaced. There is no time limit on that.

Refunds

Because a download cannot be returned once it has been delivered, sales are final. That does not apply to a file that is broken, a track that is not what the page said it was, or a payment taken twice — those are refunded in full, no argument.

The formal bit

This is a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence for personal, non-commercial use, granted to the purchaser only, for as long as they keep the file. It cannot be assigned or sub-licensed. All rights in the sound recording and the underlying composition are reserved by WHOSRILA LLC and its co-owners. Breaching the second column ends the licence.
